Composer Roger Ames will be in attendance, and will meet with student composers and other interested musicians and community members to talk about the commission and the inspirational process behind it. At this June's Workshop/Performance, Mr Ames's arrangement of Amazing Grace for Choir and String Orchestra received its world premiere in this form, to high acclaim from performers and audience alike.
