COMPETITION FOR USE OF "THE EVANGELISTS"

First Prize:

1. The right for a string quartet to use “The Evangelists” for two years

2. Placement on the Swiss Global Artistic Foundation’s Artists’ Roster

3. One or more recordings made with “The Evangelists” on the Swiss Global/Cala Records label

4. Concert engagements for the Foundation and through its connections

5. Artistic and career mentoring as a Foundation Artist

6. Participation with “The Evangelists” in the Foundation’s educational programmes


Second Prize:

1. Placement on the Swiss Global Artistic Foundation’s Artists’ Roster

2. A concert engagement for the Foundation


Conditions of Entry:

1. The Competition is open to string quartets of average age no more than 30 as of 13 July 2010

2. Entry closing date 7 June 2010

3. Applications must include biographies of the quartet and its individual members, together with a performance video

4. Applications should preferably be submitted electronically: Heather de Haes, Director, Swiss Global Artistic Foundation, heatherdehaes@swissglobal.org

6. Repertoire: one quartet from each of the classic, romantic and modern eras

7. Finalists selected for the 13 July Audition will be notified by 13 June, and will have the opportunity to try “The Evangelists” by appointment prior to the competition

8. Finalists performing at the 13 July Audition will be asked to play both on their present instruments and “The Evangelists”
