The Vivaldi Gloria: A Choral/Orchestral Workshop

The public is invited to attend an open rehearsal of selected movements from Vivaldi's Gloria under the direction of Maestro Geoffrey Simon. This great work for strings and chorus will be performed by students from the South Fork, and by members of the Choral Society of the Hamptons, who have previously developed the Gloria under their own strings and choral directors.
The Gloria workshop will illuminate the process of bringing an iconic work of classical music before the public. This Playhouse Project/Swiss Global Artistic Foundation special event brings the communities of audience, student artists and professionals together in the outdoor setting of the Playhouse, one of surpassing beauty. Refreshments will be served.
The Vivaldi Gloria workshop is free and open to the public.
