Dez Desai is a Director and the Head Trader of Credit Strategies. Mr Desai has been the Lead Portfolio Manager for the US Event Driven portfolio since May 2008. Mr Desai’s primary focus is liquid product trading in credit, credit derivatives, hybrid capital, converts, equities, and volatility. Prior to his current role, he was Head of Credit Trading. Prior to R3 Capital, Mr Desai was a proprietary trader in the Global Principal Strategies group at Lehman Brothers, and prior to that, he was a trader on the Lehman Brothers credit trading desk focused on micro and macro trading strategies. Prior to Lehman, Mr Desai was an associate in equity research at UBS Warburg.

Mr Desai earned a B.S. in Business Economics and a B.S. in Finance from the University of Arizona.
