Ouri Bronchti piano

Biography

Ouri Bronchti was born in Israel in 1977, and began piano studies at the age of seven. Upon arrival in Switzerland in 1990, he entered the Conservatoire of Lausanne, where he obtained a Graduate Diploma with a special prize in 1997. He obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in accompaniment in 2000.

For the following four years he was engaged by the Conservatoire of Lausanne as staff accompanist, while undertaking postgraduate study in chamber music in Bern and working as an opera répétiteur.

Mr Bronchti then commenced studies at the Royal College of Music in London, working with Roger Vignoles, John Blakely and John Constable. He has completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Performance (Accompaniment), and an opera-répétiteur course (Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Performance). He is currently a répétiteur-trainee at the National Opera Studio, with his studies supported by the Friends of Covent Garden: Nelly Groner Bursary and John Wates Bursary. He has worked at Royal Opera House, European Opera Centre, English Touring Opera, Royal College of Music Opera, Classical Opera Company and the Bregenzer Festspiele.

Ouri Bronchti specializes as an accompanist, vocal coach and répétiteur, but also plays regularly in chamber music ensembles. Future projects include Der Rosenkavalier (Strauss) and Candide (Bernstein) for English National Opera, Rusalka (Dvorak) for English Touring Opera, Pélleas et Mélisande for Independent Opera, as well as coaching for the Mozart Academy in Aix-en-Provence festival.
