Sylvain Amic

Biography

Sylvain Amic is curator of the 19th, 20th century and contemporary art collections of the Fabre Museum, Montpellier. Born in 1967, he studied at the University of Nice (1984-7) where he obtained diplomas in Science, Chinese Languages and Civilisation, and Journalism. He then taught at the Ecole normale d'instituteurs de Nice, where his work focused on joint projects with Gambia. At the same time, until 1997, he continued his studies at the Lille and Aix-en-Provence Universities, and acquired a Master's in History of Art.

He then worked at the Ecole nationale du patrimoine in Paris before taking up his present position in Montpellier.

He has commissioned numerous exhibitions, including:
