Athens comes to Lausanne

The Hermitage Foundation in Lausanne was the lovely setting for our early spring event.

Members and invited guests enjoyed a private viewing of an exceptional exhibition of paintings from the National Gallery of Athens, organised to commemorate the forthcoming Olympic Games in Athens this year. The exhibition was introduced by the Hermitage Foundation's curator Juliane Cosandier.

At the reception, music was provided by a trio from the Swiss Jazz Academy in Bern, with which the Foundation recently concluded an agreement for a series of future events.

The large number of Friends of the Foundation and invited guests in attendance at the event Treasures from the National Gallery of Athens received close attention. It is the first time they have left Greece.
